As with pretty much every single screen protector, installation is key. If you are at all worried about installation, some electronics stores offer installation for a fee. Personally, I trust myself more than a "technician" at one of those stores, but to each his own. My only advice for installation is to use the entire bottle of liquid. Anyone used to the old, "dry" style of screen protectors will think this is weird, but it really does work quite well. Having a layer of liquid between the screen and protector while installing it lets you move the screen protector around to get it positioned properly and helps keep out air bubbles. Then, you can use the included squeegee to press out any air bubbles fairly easily. Just make sure the device is powered off, because it's going to get fairly damp. Well there is solution. The instructions mention wetting your fingers to prevent finger prints, what they really mean is soak your hands until there is no possibility of any skin oils left on your hands. Not only that but the "Sticky side" is so sticky you can't get it off the backing without another pair of hands, which I found out the hard way by putting creases in the film before I was even able to line it up properly with the screen. Followed the instructions and installed it and after 3 days it still looks like crap. The bubbles are still there and the residue for the solution can still be seen in some spots. I mean 3 days and it's still not dry???? I don't get it. I'll give it one more day until i take it off and just wait for a decent screen protector to come out. As for now my rating stays at a 1. |
